About Lina, Horse medicine woman

Welcome to Horse Medicine!

My name is Lina, and I find myself in this life as a horse medicine woman. I was born in the wild north of Sweden, deeply connected and rooted in its magic. Over the years, I’ve realized that my first language is heart-and-soul communication — through energy, emotion, and symbols/images. This is how the universe speaks to me.

I believe that we are all part of the universe (or God, if you feel more comfortable using that word) and that the universe is part of us. Therefore, the universe speaks to us all because we are the universe. But it doesn’t speak to everyone in the same way; it speaks to each of us in the way we’re most capable of listening. Some feel it in their gut (and to be honest, this might be quite a universal thing). Some receive messages through symbols like music, colors, signs, or even the wind. Some see shifts in energy, and some feel it in their emotions. It’s always there; it’s just different for everyone—like a language you once knew as a child but have forgotten and now need to relearn.

In this re-learning, I have many wonderful teachers—some human, but most are more-than-human. Some have been trees, birds, and spirits that are hard to name. But first and foremost, my teachers and spiritual guides in this life are horses: both living, breathing horses in this physical world and those who have passed on, as well as the spirit of the horse collective, which I call the Great Horse Spirit.

Among many others, I have been gifted with the task of being a bridge between the human and more-than-human worlds—and, for me especially, a spokesperson and translator for the horses. I hold space for humans to listen more deeply and heal our wounds of disconnection so we can re-connect with the web of life and start navigating alongside Mother Earth and all creation instead of against her. I carry the medicine of the horses—Peace—at the center of my heart.

This mission has taken me on a lifelong journey of meeting, listening, and exploring. Exploring what it means to be human and what it means to be me. Facing deeply rooted fears of being different, of being “too much,” and of not being understood—fears that once led me to suppress my power and my deep connection to the universe and its guidance. This suppression has taken its toll on my physical body, manifesting as pain and exhaustion.

Today, I choose to liberate myself by exploring how not only to choose life, but to be life in every moment. This doesn’t mean I always succeed in being fully present and connected. It means that when I realise I’ve disconnected, it becomes my highest priority to find my way back.

As part of this exploration and my mission of being a bridge for the horses and the rest of nature to spiritually guide us, we are creating new meeting places. One is a physical space in Malmö, in the south of Sweden, where the horses are guiding us to build a horse temple in the middle of the city—a meeting place for people longing for grounded spirituality. The other is digital: the Horse Medicine Tribe, a meeting place for all who feel connected to the guidance and medicine of the horses, so that together we can weave an even stronger web of connection across the world.

So if you’ve found your way here, see this as your invitation from the horses to listen more deeply to the guidance of reconnection. And if we can support you on your journey in any way, you are more than welcome to let us know.

With all our love,
Lina Petersdotter and the Horse Medicine Tribe
